Celebration Choir: all singers ages 16 and up are invited to participate. Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening at 7:45 PM. This Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass (SATB) group leads worship weekly, singing anthems and leading the congregation in corporate worship.
Worship Team: This select group is open to men and women, and must meet with Lynn prior to becoming a part of it. This group will lead worship once or twice a month, and present special songs in the service. Members are expected to participate in at least one other aspect of the Music Ministry (Celebration, leading KidzPraz, or participating in Youth praise and worship)
KidzPraz: Using the Lifeway music curriculum “Children’s Worship Series”, this graded program’s goal is to make lifetime worshipers of our children. Two groups (K-3rd grade, 4-6th grade) meet weekly on Monday at 630 PM to learn scripture, songs, and Bible stories, all the while learning what it is to worship God at the foot of His throne. The children will perform in morning worship on occasion, as well as present a program at Christmas and in the spring.
First and foremost, adult and teenage participants in any of these groups are expected to be devoted Christ-followers, committed to the ministry that they are called to be a part. They should live a life of example to the church members, as well as the “un-churched” of their community, being a witness for Christ in all that they do.
When called to the music ministry, it should become a priority in your schedule, in your life. At times there will be extra rehearsals or opportunities of service that you may be called to participate in, and it is expected that you will do so with excitement and dedication. Our sole purpose is to honor Christ, and bring others to a realization of His love and sacrifice for each of us through the gift of music that comes from Him.
